Turning a Coffee Machine Into a Smart, Connected Device
Nestlé envisioned a connected coffee machine paired with a seamless mobile experience. To bring it to life, they needed specialist expertise in device pairing and control, precise brewing management across a range of coffee recipes, and real-time monitoring of machine status. The founder of Apptimist Studio, Martin Anev was brought in as exactly that specialist — embedding himself fully in the project for over a year to help bring that vision to life.

Building the Invisible Link Between Phone and Machine
Martin engineered the Bluetooth connectivity, programming interfaces, and APIs that form the backbone of communication between the smartphone and the coffee machine. Every drop of coffee is precisely calculated and orchestrated by the app, down to the second. All interactions, brewed recipes, and machine configurations are continuously synchronized and reflected within the mobile experience.
